So we’ve already looked at how energy actually refers to lot of different things that affects how we feel and our ability to perform at the highest level. How do you know when something is specifically wrong and that there may be an issue with your energy?
Lately I’ve become obsessed with serendipity. I say ‘lately’ because until a ew weeks ago, I didn’t believe in it – or perhaps more correctly, understand it. After all, how can something that is meant to be positive and by chance possible come from a professional career falling apart through no other reason that wrong place, wrong time or ten years and the recession, mixed with continuous injury and mixed with a very long spell of really, really bad luck.
When I hear people say “you’re so competitive” or “you need to slow down – don’t you just take a break sometimes?” it only propels the message that competition is bad….and moreso the idea that trying to develop yourself to your ultimate potential is a dirty concept
One of the things that I personally find hard is to block out negative voices in my head. I also tend to worry a lot and the mixture of worry, negative thoughts and being alone with those thoughts is a really bad mix.Let's change that!
Turn and run – because those negative thoughts (the macaques) will be back soon enough at the most inconvenient times, when they really aren’t helpful. They will drain you, scare the hell out of you and freeze you on the spot. They also break into your rooms, drinks the beers, pee on your stuff and eat your medication.
